While not every Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) provider requires, or even encourages, professional certification and accreditation, Accurate Neuromonitoring is a firm believer in it, and ensures that all employees obtain Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).
The certification is awarded by the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). ABRET encourages and promotes quality technical and clinical standards world-wide for neurodiagnostic technologists and laboratories through certification and accreditation.
Obtaining the certification requires passing a rigorous exam after having independently monitored at least 150 surgeries. Our employees are highly supported in their pursuit of certification, with high quality training and group and individualized test preparation. The attached photo show employees at a recent CNIM prep course done at our satellite office in Norcross, GA. This year, 11 new employees obtained their CNIM, and we expect several more employees to become certified in the coming months.
“We require all employees to secure certification,” said Frank Gazzillo, CEO. “This assures our surgeons and hospitals that we hold ourselves to the highest standards and that we work hard every day to provide the highest quality neuromonitoring services to the patients that we serve.”
